Saving time and money is on the forefront of everybody's mind and Moss Precision can help with that. In March of 2009, we increased our capacity and the size of our footprint to 59" x 51.2" x 41.4" by installing two 1513 Makino Flexible Horizontal Machining Centers (FMC), with 26 pallets, 126 tool changer each and 5th axis capability up to 40". So, when people go home from work, Moss Precision continues to work for you and build your parts after hours. These machines can be used for prototype or production parts.
Makino horizontal machining is noted for its high spindle speeds with precisely controlled, high-pressure coolant or forced air to blast away chips and prevent heat buildup, either in the work piece or the tool. Our HMCs provide greater thermal stability and chip control, resulting in a high metal-removal rate and longer tool life. The superior accuracy and finishes generated by our horizontal machining centers often eliminate the need for any follow-up work.
So, when you want to lower your costs and reduce the time spent working with suppliers, Moss Precision can offer vertically integrated manufacturing, which includes machining, sheet metal, welded frames, enclosures, clean room builds and electro-mechanical assemblies. We have it all under one roof.
